The dress code is snappily provocative. Everything at Latino parties is a lot simpler than you might think – even the hardest-working warehouse foreman or financial controller can be won over with a striking dress or eye-catching moustache. You don’t need a suit: what you need is bold colours and accessories suited to the streets of Mexico. Leave your revolvers at home, but by all means rock up with your fedoras or sombreros and your flowers and floor-length dresses. Oh, and men – bring some passion. Tie a red kerchief around your neck, don your best shoes or boots and leave a couple more buttons open on your shirt than you normally would given the weather where you live.
